Privacy Policy for Qwik POS

2. Information Handled by the Application

The application processes only data strictly necessary for retail point-of-sale operations:

• Device License Activation: When activating the terminal, the license key (e.g. POS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and an optional device name (e.g. "Counter 1") are securely transmitted to the Logiqo licensing microservice (https://license.logiqo.cloud) over TLS 1.3 to authenticate the device and issue a scoped session token.
• Cashier Authentication: Cashier names and numerical PIN codes configured by the store owner are used exclusively to sign in local cashiers and identify which cashier performed a shift transaction.
• Transactional & Catalog Data: Sales items, product barcodes, prices, stock adjustments, and order numbers are stored in the local SQLite database on the host machine and synchronized with the merchant's designated cloud backend server.

4. Hardware & System Permissions

To perform its duties as a point-of-sale terminal, Qwik POS utilizes the following standard Windows/macOS capabilities:

• Local Printers (ESC/POS & System Print): Used strictly to send raw thermal receipt and label commands to connected thermal receipt printers.
• HID Barcode Scanners: Standard keyboard emulation or USB HID communication used solely to read product EAN/UPC barcodes into the cart search field.
• Network (Internet & LAN): Used exclusively to communicate over HTTPS with license.logiqo.cloud and your authorized store API backend.

5. Third-Party Sharing & Telemetry

Qwik POS contains zero third-party tracking libraries, zero ad-network SDKs, and zero social media trackers. No user telemetry is shared or sold under any circumstances.

6. Data Retention and Erasure (GDPR / CCPA)

You maintain total control over your local data. To erase all local application state, settings, and cached tokens, users can simply click the "Licenc leválasztása" (Deactivate License) button within the app, or uninstall the application and remove the local application directory.

For any licensing data removal requests stored in the central licensing database, contact us at privacy@logiqo.cloud and all records associated with your organization or key will be permanently deleted within 14 business days.

7. Security Measures

All communication between Qwik POS and cloud servers is strictly encrypted using TLS 1.3. License keys are stored hashed using SHA-256, and session tokens are cryptographically scoped JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with automatic expiration.
